OSHA TRAINING IN WISCONSIN

Actually, Wisconsin does have its own OSHA-approved State Plan called Wisconsin OSHA (WOSHA), which covers most public sector employees and many private sector workplaces in the state.

So, contrary to what you said, Wisconsin is not fully under federal OSHA jurisdiction. Instead:

  • WOSHA administers occupational safety and health regulations for state and local government employees as well as many private employers.

  • Federal OSHA covers certain industries and workplaces in Wisconsin where the State Plan does not have jurisdiction, such as some maritime, railroad, and federal government employees.
